About Us

Jennifer SissonsA Child First Preschool and Out of School Care programs are locally owned and operated by Jennifer Sissons. She received her bachelor’s of education degree at Concordia University in St. Paul, Minnesota and her master’s degree in Educational Supervision and Administration from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. She is an Alberta Education licensed teacher and has her Child Development Supervisor status with the Government of Alberta.

She believes in being involved in every aspect of each program, including curriculum writing, tours and registrations, spending time with students, incorporating educational opportunities for staff professional development, and attending conferences. She has served as the School Age Care Directors Association Treasurer for over six years and has attended various professional conferences in Alberta and Florida and believes in being a life-long learner.

Jennifer has a genuine love for the students and her staff. A Child First Preschool and OOSC staff have a wealth of experience in teaching and childcare and they are excellent role models whom both parents and children find approachable and trustworthy. All the staff of A Child First Preschool and Out of School Care programs hold police check clearances, which include a vulnerable sector search, hold First Aid and CPR certifications and are certified in Early Childhood Education through the Government of Alberta.

Ms. Morgan

Hello families! My name is Morgan, and I am one of the Directors for A Child First Preschool and OOSC. I have been with A Child First for over 10 years.

I have always loved working with children of all ages, but my favorite part of my job is spending quality time with all the amazing students at each program. I have been privileged enough to get to know so many different families over the years and there are so many wonderful memories I will get to cherish forever. It is an honor to be a part of their lives and watch them grow into amazing little humans. I also enjoy getting to know the teachers and administrative team at all the schools who graciously host our Out of School Care programs, building a sense of community where students, families and all levels of staff feel cared for and safe is important to me.

A little bit about me... I have a son that I adore more than words, and I absolutely love being a mom. I have two cats, Pumpkin & Georgia. I love all genres of music and going to the movies (their popcorn is the best!). Starbucks is my favorite place to get coffee and I love to laugh.
